Alison Rosen: Separated at birth

Ralph Reed is an incredibly smart guy. He once made the cover of Time magazine. The first time I saw him on TV he was with the Christian Coalition and I thought he was in high school (he's 48 now).

Great job last night, Alison! There aren't many women I would stay up with until 1am on a school night. The highest number of viewers I saw was 294, but I wasn't watching it all the time so it could have gone over 300.

I thought you did good on Hannity last night, though I felt bad you got hit with the abortion stuff--it's such lightning rod subject, and one outside your wheelhouse. I hope Hannity has you back!

Outside my wheelhouse... unless my wheelhouse is my uterus!

I'm a pretty political guy and I avoid that topic at all costs. People tend to have strong feelings about it (either way) & debates tend to upset folks.

And on a cheerier note, I'm sitting around asking myself what it would look like if someone's uterus was a wheelhouse, and how that imagery ties in to Mad Men. Beats doing work. :)

I'm the only person that I know that has been able to give an answer to the abortion topic that doesn't really upset anyone. When people ask me my feelings on it (which is pretty rare because it is such a divisive topic), I look them in the eye, and say, "I could care less about the subject. It's one of the most controversial topics in society today, but in my opinion, it's also one of the most inane and unimportant topics in society today" When a person asks me to explain myself, I simply say, "Look, it's very easy to get worked up about the abortion topic, but in all honesty there are a lot more important issues facing the world. I'm more concerned that there are people who can't seem to drive worth a damn on the streets. That is more relevant to my daily life, and nobody really gets riled up about that."
