I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Alison. Please be good to yourself over the coming days and weeks, and spend lots of time with friends and family too.
My grandmother died when I was 13 (she lived with us) and since then I've lost both my mother and father. It's never easy, but I know they're all in a better place. And I'm so incredibly thankful for all they did for me when I was growing up.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Alison. I lost my grandmother when I was 29. But it never matters what their age or ours are. It's always difficult. My family uses humor and sarcasm for almost everything. Especially situations like these. It's always made it easier for me. That and remembering the good times. My thoughts are with you and yours.
